Discourse and Conceptual Modelling Tools

The ICOPER Big Picture has been revised a number of times so far and it will be revised more times as the project progress and the discourse process with the stakeholder groups is continuing. Before all the bits and pieces come together iterative rounds of conceptual modelling will take place.

A discourse tool based on a semantic Mediawiki (ICOPER Discourse Space) and the IHMC CmapTools are used for this activity. IHMC CmapTools is a front-end client application from the Florida Institute for Human & Machine Cognition (IHMC) and is used from ICOPER to develop and share concept maps among the ICOPER community and other members of the European Competency SIG. A number of other projects and initiatives are also using the ICOPER Cmap Server for their conceptual modelling activities such as projects from CEN WS/LT (Workshops on ‘Learning Technologies’ from the European Standardization Committee), Dublin Core Education Community, European Learner Community, European Learner Mobility, MLR Educational Development and the European Competency SIG.
